Fridays | 1-3PM | Various Hyattsville Locations

Hyattsville Aging In Place and Yard Dramas have been collaborating on a playwrighting project for several years. This collective piece (still in development) tells the stories of Hyattsville residents aging in place—their past, present, and future. Our work will be featured at the Prince George's County 250 Block Party on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Would you like to participate as a playwright, director, actor, stage crew, or house manager? Complete our interest form.

Our Stories Post

WHEN: Fridays | February 13, 20, 27 & March 20 | 1–3 PM
WHERE: Community Room at 5501 45th Ave Apartment #430, Hyattsville, MD 20781 (behind Busboys and Poets)
INSTRUCTORS: Marcie Wolfe Hubbard and Jennifer Ridgway

We invite you to build visually impressive maquettes of meaningful moments from your life. Take on the role of set designer as you transform personal stories into 3-dimensional renderings of the spaces where they unfolded. Whether it’s a treasured business, a neighborhood civic center, or your own home, these environments are where memories were made.

Together, we’ll reconstruct Hyattsville as it is, as it once was, and as we imagine it could be. Through this blend of storytelling and design, we’ll create a collective memory of our community that honors the past, celebrates the present, and envisions the future.

These designs will be displayed as part of Hyattsville Aging In Place performance as part of the We the People – Prince George’s 250 Block Party to commemorate Prince George’s County’s history, arts, culture, and more on May 30, 2026!
